Mary Beth’s Red Bird Run.

The first Mary Beth’s Red Bird Run, for ages 5 and under, was a huge success and we hope that the momentum will continue to grow each year. The Covington Police Department will again host the dash at 8:15 a.m. between the Fuzz Run’s one mile fun run and the 5K road race. The dash is named after Mary Beth Malcom (2001-2006), the daughter of Captain Ken Malcom and Cindi Malcom of Newton County. The Covington Police Department is a supporter of the upkeep of maintaining the playground equipment at Mary Beth’s Place and The Chase Cain Soccer Field, both at the YMCA’s Outdoor Center on Stone Road in Newton County.

Each participant will receive a medal and a t-shirt. T-shirts will be 100% cotton and we offer two sizes; youth extra small and a youth small. Entry fee will be $10 per person.

Please click on the Mary Beth’s Dash Application page to download the form and submit or you can go to the registration page and submit online thru Active.
