The Cotton Cup Challenge is a special competition named in honor of Covington Police Chief Stacey Cotton, a longtime proponent of the Fuzz Run.
This competition pits local groups and businesses against one another to find who can register the most participants for the run. Not only is this a fun competition to promote community involvement, but it gives YOUR organization great exposure in advertising and on the Fuzz Run website.
There are two different categories for the Cotton Cup Challenge: a competition between all the businesses and organizations who register and a competition between all the schools in the Newton County School System who register.
Those who participate in the Challenge receive a discounted rate and the winners get to brag for the next year while pointing out their Cotton Cup trophy.
Businesses organize their own Fuzz Run teams. The team leader gathers the information from each runner and signs up the team all at once. The Fuzz Run committee has the team packets available for pick-up at Friday’s Expo.
